Purple tree I.D.?

I've searched the forum and did not find a match. It's violet/purple flowers and the tree is sorta like a juniper? It bloomed for just a short while. Any ideas?

What part of Texas? Is it a desert environment? Need a photo of several leaves on a stem.

 

Try "leucophyllum".

 

That's what I was thinking, Leucophyllum frutescens, if it is in the drier parts of Texas.

 

The flowers look too deep coloured comapred to Leucophyllum frutescens. Are the leaves silvery? Here is the close-up snap of Leucophyllum frutescens.
