Few of my phal are infested with scabs. What is the best way to get rid of them and the best way to prevent them.

by scabs i assume you mean scale, little brown bumps on the leaves? the best way to get rid of them is to pick them off one by one and then spray the plants with either insecticidal soap, horticultural oil, or diluted rubbing alcohol. spray them once a week for a month or untill the problem goes away, you need to kill all the unhatched eggs too as well as the adults. after sparying the plants rinse them off about 20 mins after sparying.

i would use a 70 percent water to 30 percent alcohol, that way it won't damage your plant. hope you can get rid of the problem
