    The location of where you grew up would be helpful, to narrow down the possibilities.
     
  3. Well, that's a bit of a problem because my family did a LOT of travelling when I was small! But I primarily grew up in Colorado in the US and we did spend time somewhere near Russia (I think it was the Ukraine)

  5. cork ?

    may be what we call "chene cork" in France ? you know the tree from which we take the bark to close wine bottles. it matches the colors, and texture of bark...
