Hi there. I am a novice gardener. I have a blue passion flower... kind of straggly... lots of growth/vegetation on top, but not much on the bottom. Do I need to prune it or cut it back? When do I do so? In the fall? In the spring? I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It is growing against a fence... Any advice welcome. Thanks!

I'd wait until winter is over, in case it dies back anyway.

Personally, I would cut it back hard, and bring it into your home (hopefully no bugs come too). I don't know much about this plant, but it may like being indoors, and do well when you set it outside (in the ground) after the last frost date for our area. Good luck.
