little white carnation-looking flower

    I used to know what this is....it's probably very common. They remind me of little carnations.
    sorry the close up is so blurry. Pic on left to show height (about 36+ " tall) Very thin leaves. Several blooms at the top of a single stem.

    Hi, R.,

    Yea! That's it! I think mine is one from "The Pearl Group". (I remember now, it reminded me of Janis Joplin's album).

    Interesting how flowers with the same name can look so different. Many of the images of Achillea ptarmica on Google looked like daisies.

    I've found these to be quite invasive. However, it blooms so long and is very strikingly white; I have a hard time pulling them up.
