I have had wandering jews for many years. I have never had one bloom. However, recently I starting putting cuttings in decorative bottles with water. I have had my wandering jew bloom three times. Why will it bloom in water and not in soil? Needless to say I was very surprised the first time it bloomed.

Funny you should post this, I have just noticed the same thing on my wandering jew, except mine is new cutting planted in soil. They are such tiny little flowers and so cute. I have had wandering jews also for years and never seen one bloom.

no they will bloomin dirt also .. and in water .. was just wondering if you put your cuttings in a different spot then the one that was in the dirt .. it is more of a matter of light .. how much it is getting .. some plants like different spots better .. but wandering jews flower pretty easy ..
