This rose was saved, literally, from buldozers that flattened whole sections of our neighborhood in preparation for a redevelopment project. It's the result of my first effort to slip roses. The rose is intensely fragrant--much deeper and muskier than the two roses I know the smell of well: Mr. Lincoln and Papa Meilland. I'm just a novice and would love to get some clues as to the name of this rose. The bush from which it was slipped must have been over 50 years old. We did dig-up two of the bushes this spring, but lost one to fungus. The other one is doing fine. We'd just really like to know what it is. Thank you so much! Marcy (erlygrl)
Possibly 'Climbing Etoile de Hollande'. If it has long arching stems with minimal branching that part would fit as well.
