    Greetings!

I'm new to this forum. Glad to be here. Does any kind soul out there know how to germinate Fritillaria recurva seed? Thought I could find something definitive on the web, but haven't found it yet.

Update: for those interested. Soaked seed 12 hours then sowed in gritty medium in a deep 2 gallon pot. Set it on the northside wall outside the greenhouse along with Paeonia brownii.

I have grown lots of different fritillaria from seeed. 35 varieties at last count. I sow them then put the pot in the fridge for about 8 weeks before putting it out in my nursery area. Not in direct sun. They can still be very slow to germinate and I have tipped pots out thinking them to be empty only to find tiny rice grain sized bulbs. So always check carefully before disposing of any pots.
