I received some Bearded Irises last nite from my Mom-in-law, but we didn't get home till late, so I put them in a jug with water and will plant them immediately after work, will they survive?? They're just about to bloom, I can see the purple coming out of the buds.

Bearded Iris are very tough plants; I would be very surprised if they didn't survive.

I am sure they will be fine. I had dug up a bunch and left them in a bucket for a month and they all did fine. They are very hardy! If they seem to be waning I would sugest cutting off the flowers so to give the root some more strength.
