Acer palmatum 'Wills devine'

28th April 2021 and the weather has stayed so cold. The coldest April for 60 years in fact. But now my Wills Devine is now cheering me up no end.

 

7th May 2021, reticulation, and new growth on my Wills Devine this morning.

Can I ask who is/was selling Wills Divine?

 

I believe Junkers is selling it J. I got mine from Lotta Plants in the Netherlands a few years back, but they have stopped trading now..

 

What a shame that Lotta stopped selling maples, now stopped trading and the fact we can’t import from NL.
I had used them, no issues and great service. They told me Dick van der Maat supplied them and had wished to cease the arrangement.

27th May 2021 and the beauty of this cultivar is now there to be seen.

 

2nd June 2021 and there is just so much interest in my Wills Devine, so I thought I would show it in transition phase this morning.

24th June 2021 and it's been a long wait this season, but now my Will's Devine has some lovely deep colours.

 

13th July 2021 and one of the wettest Sumners ever here in Southern England is making a very happy Will's Devine in my garden, all bodes well for the Autumnal colours this year.

 

16th April 2022 and a special green IMO is making it's start in the early morning Spring dew here in Southern England.

2nd May 2022 and yesterday's rain has certainly helped my trees leaf out. My Wills devine was very happy this morning.

 

9th May 2022 and the leaves are transitioning towards Summer already. The gives some wonderful shades.

 

20th May 2022 and as the cloud starts to bubble up, some lovely shades on my Wills devine..

 

Fall colors

 

11th November 2022 and my Wills devine has now made a show. I do love these leaves.

 

From the early spring and summer , and one from the early fall forgot to take more pics as it progressed , was very nice though.

 

20th May 2023 and going mad with growth this year.

 

29th October 2023 and my Wills devine has a lovely yellow sheen to the leaves this morning.
