Orangeola my partners favourite and it’s doing quite well.. I can see the shade side stays more green vs the sunny side more reddish. It was up potted last spring and it’s really filling in nicely.
Orange Dream, repotted last year and I was fearful it hated its location but maybe it was just upset cause it was new cause it seems very happy this year.
Moonrise, fairly woken up! forgive the shade clothes and this less than nice area where my younger JM sit
Red Dragon, what started the FEVER, our first JM and my dogs tree. This is the same tree as my profile pictures its just not in its ceramic pot due to the yard work that was completed just have a few things left to sort out.
Weeping Waterfall, my all time loves and the one I root pruned in summer the day before a heat wave… It appears to have come back great and Ive removed many dead branches but there are some leaves that have me questioning if it’s ok. You can see them in the pics. Input, suggestions are always welcome.
Acer Japonicum Aconitifolium aka “THE RESCUE TREE” this guy is well known on this forum, everyone has supported raising him to be what he is today… I just can’t brag enough on this ones awesomeness and am so grateful to the members of this forum for their endless support to ensure his thriving survival. Thank you all.
Hi Lisa, this may have been caught by Spring frosts as it sticks out more on that side. IMO I would wait until end of May/ June to see if it recovers. If it doesn't, then it will need aesthetically pruning out. So just a short waiting game.
Here we are nearing the end of April and yet another bright sunny start to my day here in Southern England. Cold, but no frosts. So a few waking up this morning, including my griseum. I love @dicky5ash and @Acerholic’s wonderful collections, as well as many others on this forum. I especially love the pictures of them in the yard. I show them to others like my Mother when they say “don’t you think you have enough JM? Do you think your being obsessive?” Hahahah and my response is do you not love being in my yard? And do I have nearly as many as these guys? do you not love their yards?!!!! It’s trees not cocaine so obsession is great it just perfects the yard design!!!! Thanks Guys truly love your pictures.
@dicky5ash i notice you have many of your trees in nice smaller more manageable pots. Do you move them indoors in winter or do you wrap the pots up to protect against winter?
How many times have we maple enthusiasts heard that. Lol And I expect we will hear it again and again and ................ Your posting made me smile Lisa.
Thanks for your kind words in the previous post. Re Pots most of my collection are in pots 40-300ltrs but I do have a lot in 5-10 ltr pots that I’m growing on..these all stay out all winter but on top of a 5foot raised bed wall that has a canopy of mature shrubs and roses over the top so this provides a fair bit of frost and wind protection. I do protect my trees from frost using fleece but not this year as we haven’t had any since leaf out thus far!!

@JoshuaL Good morning and welcome to the maples forum, I loved viewing your collection. 'What variety ' and so healthy. Can I point out that you have multiples (x3) of photo of some cultivars. Now you can edit these by pressing the edit button at the bottom and clicking on a photo then pressing delete or x on your keyboard. If you have any questions please do send me a personal message and I'm sure I can help.
