I love everything about Etrog from the grow habit to the unique spiritual fruit. I would really love to have one of these trees, but I cant find any Etrog trees or cuttings from one for sale in Canada. I could order seeds, but I dont want to roll the dice on a seed grown tree that is unpredictable. Does anyone know where I could get an Etrog tree or cutting from one in Canada?
Check with Nursery & Garden Centre | Richmond, BC | Phoenix Perennials. I believe they've had grafted ones in the past but it looks like they had kosher ones last year: Citrus & Avocado Pre-Order for Canadian Gardeners from Phoenix Perennials 2021.
Hi Amazu3, This year at Phoenix Perennials we have available 'Assads' which is a special selected type of Etrog that is Kosher as it has been grown from seed or cuttings for the past 2000 years without ever being grafted. Grafting is not Kosher. We also often have the normal Etrog but these are grafted. We likely will not have them this year, but should have them again in the future.
