One of my Koto-no-itos has become a phosphorescent orange this fall. Never seen anything like it before -- I have a few dozen JMs on my property and nothing comes close (even my other Koto-no-ito). It was moved to a spot this year with about 6-7 hours of direct sunlight and very moist soil (almost worried that it would drown during some heavy rainfall), so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Wow! That’s amazing! I just bought one this year. It only arrived a week ago with no leaves. Looking forward to next years colors.

If we were enterprising arborists, we could market these as two different cultivars!
