Very nice rendition of a mature tree in late Autumn.

It makes me think of an old song about a kid who wants to become a bird to make solace to a lonely tree in winter, and his Mum tells him he'd better put on a scarf and his boots if he wants to go out... ;-)

Really pleased with how this Black Lace has picked up as the year has gone on considering what it looked like when it arrived.

A nice Acer palmatum dissectum in a park, and behind it, a young Acer buergerianum. The tag reads Acer buergerianum 'Geessink' : ???

Finally have one of my trees exhibit autumn color...one of my Sango's! All the rest either have no change, no leaves or crispy dried up leaves.

Maggie is having a ball during her first autumn season...

NOW we're getting somewhere! Osakazuki is overrepresented this time around, but with those colours can you blame me?

Good afternoon everyone. I thought I would show my 43 year old Red dissectum over a couple of days at the weekend in different lights. It still fascinates me seeing the changes from one hour to the next.
Today all the leaves have dropped after the awful winds. But I will, remember these colours all through Winter.

Here is my regular last one to colour up in my garden, 'Autumn gold'.
A close up of one of the leaves shows the amazing bright oranges this cultivar gives every year.

Well it seems most of the leaves have gone for 2021, but now for the lovely architectural beauty. So I hope there will be some messages on the Winter bare bones thread.

Good day! I think this Kawahara Rose is going to be my personal Christmas tree this year. What he lacks in size he makes up for in stubbornness.
With this I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I'm also on LI, and was hoping the snow would make a good backdrop for my big Sango Kaku, but it melted before I could take pictures!
