    Found in humid forest in New Caledonia.

    Hi @Ben Caledonia: Can you please add some info on approx size and substrate? Is it on soil or over rotting wood or....?

    Sorry, Frog, here are some details, it grew on the ground in the earth if I remember correctly, with a diameter of 2 or 3 cm

    Hi @Ben Caledonia This could be Lichenomphalia chromacea. You could confirm by examining the ground immediately proximate to the fruiting body to see if there is a thallus composed of wee balls of algae (requires magnification). If you get a chance please post a photo of the soil surface?

    A big thank you Frog for your research and for this interesting lead. I don't think I will have the chance to see it again for a while unfortunately, and I don't have another photo.
