I've got these three from seeds received in Dec. 2019 from the MS seed exchange.

They're five-lobed, rather leathery compared to Acer palm-oenum, not as divided to the lobe base as Acer pentaphyllum.

Any idea what these three different, but very similar, seedlings can be named ?

I wonder if pentaphyllum can hybridise with anything? (I don't think it has any close relations) How soon do they leaf out?

They leaf out at about the same time as Acer palm-oenum.

That's what I was wondering myself, but three of a kind the same year...

It looks a bit like A. chingii. Is the new growth red? This was taken last year, 11/4.

Could be "Green chingii" then! ;*)

No, the new leaves are not red and neither are the older ones.
