I have created a video showing how I prune and cull the fruit of our dwarf apple tree in early June. We are out in Chilliwack BC and now in early June is the perfect time to do this project

What an informative & well-created video

Do you have photos of your « orchard » in blossom time ? That’s my fav scene! Many of our orchards in old Okanagan have been bulldozed for vineyards (no instagram blossoms!)

How do you ensure bees for pollination ?
Do you protect from sudden frost in the Valley (sudden outflow)

Transparent Apple is my born-raised Okanagan aunt’s very favorite for apple pies

It’s hard to find Transparents - she has a farm source with one old tree he keeps for her - I am certain there’s a pie barter system

(Lots of apples these days are Ambrosia)

QUESTION - did you graft all the trees?

They look very healthy and compact

    I look fwd to updates

ÉDIT - it’s nice to hear the nuthatch bird background around 6:14 in video. Not sure if you have white or red .

    thanks for the kind words!
I don't have a picture of the spring blossom, sorry
We have just under an acre of property, fully landscaped with so many varieties of flowers, annuals, perennials and bee loving plants. No trouble attracting bee's at all.
Also no issue with the winter outflow winds. The tree was not grafted by me, but locally by a friend of mine who has since passed away.
And yes, we started making apple pies on a more regular basis as well!

on the bird front - good ear! ( red nuthatch)
