Identification: Here is another mystery PNW native

    Thanks all for helping ID the Boschniakia hookeri. Now we have another mystery plant from the same area. Unfortunately we missed the peak bloom time, but we do have flower remains and the formation of seed pods. At least I know its not Corallorhiza with its upward facing pods.

    Yes, colouration on these can range from a fleshy dull yellow to that pinkish-red you've photographed.

    I'll be revisiting the site often. Next year I/we will take pics of the beauties in that small grove.

    I recall the Ancient Grove trail in Olympic National Park as being a great place to see these.
