I enjoyed an evening in the garden after the rain just listening to the birds while taking some pictures of Osakasuki, Summer gold, Shirazz, Watnong, Ruysen, Oregon sunset, Autumn moon, Filigree and Aconitifolium.

Not sure where this is headed in terms of Spring Colo(u)r as I only picked up last fall but am enjoying the slow mutations now.

I’m so blown away by the garden I walked out into today that i can’t type properly so not gona list cultivars. Of course if anyone has any questions I’ll be sure to answer them, but for now... I just want to take pictures of them. I hope nobody objects.

I would like to introduce you to my new babies ordered from Hippo on Tuesday. Loz wasn’t sure whether she could get them to me this week as she was celebrating her birthday, however, once I started singing to her she quickly promised to make it happen. Turns out I’m tone deaf lol :-)

They turned up around 0930 and since then I’ve been beavering away cleaning and sanitising 3ltr pots, making up my preferred soil mix and then getting them settled in to their new home for the next year or two. Mostly slip potted, but one needed a bit of root untangling, so that was done with lots of care and patience. Just waiting for some new tags to arrive and we are all but done :-)

    I’m a happy boy!

Group shot, followed by 2 pics of each. One to show the whole plant and then a close up of the leaf.

I would like to give a shout out to Hippo. Although I’ve always thought they were slightly over priced for the size of the plant you get, but what I have realised is that each one I received today was in immaculate condition. The packaging is second to none and the plants themselves look very healthy.

    Thanks Hippo :-)

I've always had very good quality and healthy plants from them. Definitely not over priced, very good value for money, quality is worth paying for.
