Wakehurst Pink, one of my all time favourites.
Problem free, good growth and forms a nice shape.

I had bees in the trees this morning. (Hope you can see it in one of my Sango's). Also Grandma Ghost x2, Peaches (my oldest JM and the first spring in the ground), A.P., Baldsmith, Ariadne, Japanese Sunrise, Tsuma Gaki, and another Sango that is finally filling out nicely.

I can’t wait for my Wakehurst Pink to look like yours Jaybee. That is stunning! Mine is just starting to leaf out.

It’s a real good grower, mine was bought as a small 3 litre. I like bringing on small plants and being responsible for the shape I prune them into.

Again another coincidence in that Luke and I were chatting about Wakehurst pink on the phone today. And now beautiful photos of this very underrated maple. And your spot on with it being problem free J.

Good evening N, I'm becoming more and more interested in species maples each year and your truncatum has increased that interest. That is wonderful.

‘Shindeshojo’, three seedlings and ‘Ukigumo’ heavily protected because of severe rabbit damage early last year (x2). I think the color/variegation will be good. It is in a deep shade location.

D, I keep my eyes open for a true truncatum seedling in that area... no luck so far.
I think it is so much more fun to raise them from seedlings. And if I find one, I don’t feel bad for taking it. All seedlings there get hit by weed trimming sooner or later in the summer..

Your Shindeshojo and Ukigumo would be a lovely combination N. And that protection you have against the rabbits is definatly not letting them in. Spring has arrived vibrantly in Conecticut. So colourful.

I'm happy this morning as there was no frost here. I took a chance and got away with it. So some colours to share.

If anyone is going to post a photo of themselves with their maples for @emery, then please have a look at this thread. @AlainK started the ball rolling with the first photo.

Is Spring really going to happen properly this year, I wonder!!!? It was only 9°C here yesterday afternoon and -2° C over night.
So here are some of mine this morning, slowly and I mean slowly coming to life.

    Hi everyone!

    Weekend and two photos!

I like the red petiole of Okushimo. The other maple I don't know the cultivar...

A few of mine after the rain. I shan’t name them, but I just thought some of the leaves looked exceptional this morning. If anyone has any questions regards which one is which please feel free to message me.

Felt like I had to add Filigree, even though I probably posted it yesterday.

    It is stunning right now!
