As has been pointed out by Ron B, many are down to individual interpretation, so this list must be viewed as such. We have all seen cultivars on the forum that have the same name, but due to being on different continents do appear to be different. So this must always be considered when using this thread.

These are all separate aspects with the first and third names perhaps varying internationally, as has been the case with hybrid roses for instance:

Patented as cultivar 'Gwen's Rose Delight' in US

'Geisha Gone Wild' is an independent occurrence of a similar mutation on 'Geisha' and therefore definitely a different clone. So then it becomes a matter of interpretation as to whether or not it should be considered a different or the same cultivar. I personally think it is preferable that the naming indicate the differing origins

SHIRAZZ is a trade name used to sell 'Gwen's Rose Delight' and not therefore presented in single quotes as 'Shirazz', in the manner of a cultivar name

Hi,
I would be interested if anyone know something about 'cripsii' as I have one and this week I saw at least 20 of them beeing for sale on a nursery.
I noticied they are mainly sold in France/Belgium.
(Not talking about 'Okushimo' which i have also and is totally different).
They are close to kotohime but way more compact and the leaves emerge almost green and some of them turn into a pale yellow at the top when they harden in late spring or make a second flush.

I know @AlainK has this cultivar aswell.








It is still a mystery for me.
I wonder if it could be somehow related to 'hupp's dwarf'.
