Ljust so happens I have a beautifully shaped, size Jordan so it’s a question of finding one to put next to it.

Good morning, a bit chilly here, but no frost last night. The sun is up already and it looks like it's going to be a good day. So as I'm in my garden as I type this, here are a few of mine that look like they survived that very cold night a few days ago.

Nice! May I ask how much of that white is still there at the end of Summer?

So after a quick pop to a couple of local garden centres to look for an Osakazuki, I came home without one :-(

    however...

I absolutely love Moonrise, but sold my old one. I replaced it with the small one a few weeks ago, and I love it’s shape but it’s very small. I have never seen a bigger one unless grafted at chest height. Not the look I like at all, so when I saw this, despite the price tag of £59.99 I had to have it. God I have serious compulsive issues don’t I lo ;-)

And this is the first Griseum I have ever seen at a local garden centre. I have never owned one so I thought, what the hell?!

I understand they can kind of just die for no good reason, as D @Acerholic (sorry for your loss) experienced. But I thought I should give it a go. They really are stunning with a few years behind them. The bark with that wonderful brown peeling habit, and the autumn colours are up there with the best.

My replacement is doing OK, but I go and check it almost twice a day. That's how this Acer has my thoughts all day long. Give it plenty of good drainage Luke, it really hates waterlogged soil.
It will give you many, many years of pleasure, so money well spent IMO.

It is one that can and does give Katsura a run for it's money IMO. Can't remember if you do have Katsura, but if so, do keep them apart in your placement.
As you say, it looks good now, but in a few years, Wow!!

Mine held it's whites until October in 2020, it was an amazing year, for maples at least. Think I remember yours doing the same R. Let's hope they do it again this year also.

Good morning everyone, after a quite depressing day here in the UK yesterday, I thought I would get out early to see what is getting ready in my garden. That always cheers me up.

So here are a few that are well on their way.
Jerre Schwartz, Peve Multicolour, Vitifolium, Bi-hoo, Red Pygmy, Villa Taranto and last but not definatly least, a winner in 2020 in my garden, Red Wine.

Good afternoon D, I'm looking forward to see your Red Wine in the coming days. Peve Multicolor looks promising, too.

Today is cloudy here, and it's drizzling right now, but I managed to take a couple of shots before lunch.

Who needs the sun when you have colour like that. Perfect condition as well. I like Ariadne very much, it is actually my favourite cultivar.
That's put a smile on my face, 'thankyou' Lorenzo.
