Few pictures from yesterday, so windy today was watching the leaves merrily blowing across the garden !! Just did that in time , lots more though that still need a few weeks, so they are safe for a while ?

    @ROEBUK.
It is always a great pleasure to see yours delicious well grown Acer.
The renewal of your collection is successful.
I enjoy yours well exposed pictures and i am grateful always showing the entire form of each tree; we get pleasure not only from their sensationnel shaded colours but also from their lovely shapes.
    Thanks.

Good morning, I have taken some more earlier when the heavy cloud was not covering, but it got dark very quickly and I took this photo of my old Green dissectum. Yes the flash went off, but I thought as long as I told everyone that it did, you wouldn't mind me posting it.
It's just starting to turn !!!

My internet connection went down, and it took my provider two weeks to fix it ! I think I'll switch to another one. It took the technicians 10 minutes to fix it, it was a pb in a transfo or something up the street.

I can't catch up with all the messages, but here is the most stunning colours I've seen so far, a shirasawanum from seeds taken from an 'Autumn Moon' :

    acershir-sem2_201019a.jpg acershir-sem2_201019b.jpg

His brother, taller and with smaller leaves and more divided lobes :

@AlainK glad to see you back Alain, technology is great until it goes wrong. That's when I call my children!!!
Your garden is looking very colourful, even after the Summer you have had, you must be very pleased.

Very conscious of what @opusoculi said about whole trees, so here is my Red dissectum in it's Autumnal show before it was moved. Red dissectum 200.jpg

Good morning D, I really do like the subtle colours of transition, they are often overlooked in place of the vivid tones later.
The mixture and kaleidoscope of colours makes the garden look so very interesting in early Autumn.
    Great Oridino Nishiki D.

Today's pictures between two gusts of wind, I hope there will be some leaves left tomorrow :

'Beni Hagoromo', the first one is now totally red, with one leaf that has reverted to the common shape of A. palm., the other one still mainly green but beginning to change colours :

    acerp-benihag02_201021a.jpg acerp-benihag01_201021a.jpg

'Seiryu', 'Koto-no-ito', 'Deshojo', 'Trompenburg', 'O-sakazuki' and 'Ryusen'. I like the colours of 'Ryusen', it makes a change from all the red ones.

I've added the word Maples to the name of this thread, so that you all won't get confused when we decide to show off some other Autumn Colors in a similarly named thread in the How's It Growing forum.

Good morning, here are a few I haven't posted on the other thread this morning.
The wind has stopped blowing and the sky is quite blue and a lot of leaves are now on the ground, but some have survived on my trees, for now at least.

Emma is pretty R. Mine have dropped a lot after yesterday's battering. Saturday is going to be bad aswell. Friday for Westonbirt sounds the best bet.

I like 'Emma' a lot, I think I need to get that in here.

Those are some gorgeous maples, Mark! Can't believe they look so good after your season.

We had a big rain and wind episode, but I thought I'd get out and grab a few dissectums, which are all going at the same time.

'Inabe shidare', and something else that comes from the garden in fall besides color.

    'Emerald Lace', new plant
    IMG_20201022_125938_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_125951_v1.jpg
'Garnet', another new one without many leaves left. Plus a seedling from hagaromo, (almost dissected) in front of 'Villa tarranto'
    IMG_20201022_130040_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_130216_v1.jpg
'Dentelle de Binch' really a great plant but hard to photograph. It outgrew the pot and was rooted in the earth, in spite of being repotted in June.

    'Alloys'
    IMG_20201022_130644_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_130657_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_130711_v1.jpg
    'Green Hornet'
    IMG_20201022_130831_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_130842_v1.jpg
A couple with 'Inabe shidare' in front of 'Orangeola' (just to get Sam in there). The big tree is A. triflorum
    IMG_20201022_143813_v1.jpg IMG_20201022_143824_v1.jpg
Finally a couple featuring 'Pink Filigree'

You can't believe it, makes two of us !! The ones that really suffered are ones that were re potted last year, great spring colours then came the winds and just knocked them for six, but i at least i know they will be back next year and stronger just hope we don't get more bad weather though?

What a wonderful Autumnal morning here in Central Southern England, hoping it's just as nice for R @dicky5ash at Westonbirt today.

Thought I would go for a few reds in my garden atm.

Acer (campbellii var.) sinense. The mix of green and red is so luminous :

    acer-sinense_201022a.jpg

Shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon', Koto-no-ito, Seiryu, Butterfly, unidentified from seed, Bi-hoo, Beni hagoromo, and Acer buergerianum with Deshojo behind :

PS : the 'Bi-hoo' is not as green as in the photo, it's a "butter-yellow".

And I forgot the A. pseudosieboldianum var. takesimense I got from Emery. Compared to others, it is very healthy, no leaf scortch, no leaf spots, he seems to like its new home. A photo taken this afternoon, in the shade, but against the light, and the same on August 18th, from the other side :
