    Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris at Carn an 'lc Duibhe, Glen Lui, Deeside, Scotland (56° 59' 53" N 3° 32' 44" W; 400m). April 2005.

    A typical example of native Scots Pine, growing amongst Heather Calluna vulgaris.

    Thank you, Michael! These are great shots of very impressive trees. I haven't branched out much in studying anything botanical other than Pacific Northwest native plants before. There is so much to study in each niche. But I will go learn a bit more about Scots pine now. Thanks again.

    Oh the Cairngorms, IMO one of the worlds loveliest places to visit. Been many times, but not for several years. Cannot reccomend it enough !!!
    Wonderful photos Micheal. The memories came flooding back.
