@LoverOfMaples good afternoon D. I really hope so too, this has been a strange year. At present I am watching my trees bend double. Nothing like your storms, but my maples aren't as tough as yours, Lol.
Look forward to seeing your Katsura Hime in the ground. Hope you will post it in a few weeks??

D, work has been crazy so I haven't been able to post as much as I use to. But I will definitely be posting more pics soon.

@LoverOfMaples, never complain about being busy D in these times.
I think a lot are busy at the moment tbh. I will keep putting things on as they are changing so quickly now. I hardly recognise some of mine from one day to the next. I hope it continues to bring cheer.

Yours are always worth waiting for D.

There’s a Hornet nest in that olive tree, I’ve been observing it having an espresso every morning, not aggressive like wasps it seems, they seem to come and go one by one, headed down the valley, not bothering us on the patio at all :)

Well I thought Summer had returned, but as I was taking photos along came a heavy down pour. Completely overcast now. Think R @dicky5ash is in the perfect spot. These photos will hopefully reasure him that his are getting plenty of water whilst he is away
Anyway, I managed to get these before getting too soaked.
My favourite today is my new Black Lace. Thanks to R and Luke @Luke’s Maples that I have this one as they showed it first.

A couple more that didn't fit on the previous post due to number restraints. I just cannot believe the new growth so late in the season. Even my First ghost !!!

Lol, that's the secret, good roots that keep a good flow of water to the leaves.
    At least that's my theory.

Good morning everyone, well it seems as though after weeks of no rain and intense heat, that we now have the opposite. The only thing with this is that there is a lot of new growth that does not get fried.
My favourite today is my Reticulatum Purple.

Hope you all have a lovely relaxing Sunday.

@dicky5ash good morning R and thankyou. Picked it up a few years ago from Lotta in the Netherlands. Sadly they no longer sell maples.
I am pleased I did get it, as it performs very well even in the heat of Summer.
Hope you are still enjoying your relaxing break !!? Lots of rain here to keep your babies happy.

@Acerholic good evening D, thanks for your recommendation I have finally received Red Feather together with Atropurpureum and Katsura. The RF looks very nice with fine leaves and very special and dedicate as compared to my other disecctum trees. I hope it will show more red next year as I believe it was planted in the shade while in the nursery.

@pphdam good evening P, three lovely healthy looking maples. Red feather will keep it's red even in shade, don't give it too much sun as it is delicate. Atropurpureum can handle sun all day and will give you a whole Summer season of wonderful red if you do this. Consider placing Katsura where you can view it in early Spring from your windows, as it will bring cheer after the long Winter months.

    Great buys P.

D, your maples are looking outstanding!

I've been working too hard lately and helping my daughter and son-in-law find a new apartment so I've been a little scarce. My maples are looking quite ragged these days but I did take a few shots the other day after a rain. I thought Boris moved on since he was missing for a couple of days but he's back in his favorite spot. My wife even took a nice cricket shot. And tonight I noticed a mushroom growing out of my house....strange times.

@dangerine49 good morning J and thankyou for your kind comment.
Family do come first and sometimes even ahead of our maples, lol.
Hope all went well well with the move.
Lovely set of photos and the maples are looking really good. Not ragged at all. Regarding the mushroom I wonder what @Frog would make of that!!?
Boris is looking bigger, a good Halloween photo perhaps??
Good to see Harry, he has been missed recently.
Have a good week J, I'm just out to take some more photos.

Good morning, first of all thankyou for the many kind personal messages over the weekend. Weather permitting I will keep the photos going.
Today I thought more about the greens and how very soon they would make our gardens glow with so many colours. But thought, lets enjoy them now!!!
I must admit though my favourite in my garden today is my 'Felice'.

A couple of reds thrown in, as there is some pretty new growth and especially on my Beni Maiko.

'Aureum', still the greens that impress most but there's no stopping the transition.
