My curry leaf plant leaves are turning brown & falling. I haven’t seen any new growth for the past week or so. I have attached a pix. I am a newbie gardener. I live in NJ Zone 7a. Please advice. Thanks.

I came across a few posts that claim such leaf drop can be attributed to over-watering, including this one: Culinary: - Unhealthy Curry leaf plant. Allow the soil to dry somewhat before watering as the referenced articles suggest and see if that makes a difference.

Also, check carefully for the presence of spider mites on the underside of the leaves. Plants can show stress by dropping leaves even before mite webbing can be seen. By the way, how did those brown patches on the big plant's main stem come about? It doesn't look right.

I don’t see spider mites. I don’t have any idea about the brown patches. I thot it is normal. I also see black spots on the leaves & stem too. Pl advice.

Thanks for the advice. As it was raining I did move my plants near my garage door to avoid it. I haven’t watered my plants yet. I hope they survive. Hoping to see them get better.

Hope it was of help. Good luck. Please do let us know how it turns out.

By the way, the tree is also known to drop leaves in colder temperatures. Be careful.
