Now home, new plants

    hello! I'm so happy to find this forum. Was wondering if anyone knew what type of plant this was. What I should do in terms of cutting it back we're pulling it out. It looks pretty disease. I live near Toronto Ontario and these plants are north-facing. I took this picture today Saturday of the May long weekend. Thank you in advance, Wendy

    It's hard to tell without seeing the base but it looks alot like New Zealand Flax (Phormium species)

    Welcome to the Forums. Your plant looks a lot like Yucca to me. I'm a bit confused though why you would bother cutting it back if you're going to pull it out.

    Sorry, I meant I'm not sure whether to cut back or pull out. I was wondering if cutting back would allow it to regrow, or if it's too diseased to bother. Thank you!

    You'll have to get all of the rootstock fragments to eliminate it
