This one I first found in some open land, outside Marrakech, Morocco, Jan. Very dry. (1st 3 images)
The leaves were very long, in the order of 1m long. I cannot find anything in the genus with leaves that long.

The second one I found, was in a more "cultivated" area.
I cannot be totally sure, but I believe they are both the same species.

    Any and all suggestions welcome.

    TIA

    Looks like Parkinsonia.

Parkinsonia? Never heard of it, but it certainly looks good.
If so, definately not a native, as I originally thought.
Now to try and get to species level.
    Thanks a lot.

Based on what little I can find on line, regarding Parkinsonia spp., I suspect it may be P.aculeata.
What would help to confirm would be the flowers.
I guess a bit more research between now and when I can next get down there.
