Very nice maples you have. My Peaches and Cream is a little behind yours. Hey that's awesome. My wife is a professor there. The campus have a very nice maple collection as well.

Success story, the attached picture is a '4 inch tall', yes 4 inch lol, of Iijima sunago. Thought I had lost it last year, but with patience and protection from the Winter rains and Spring frosts with bubble wrap etc, It has come out to cheer me up. Maples do try so hard to please!! That's why we all love them.

It is a sedum--not sure of the variety since it was growing in some parts of the yard when we moved in 24 years ago and has spread on top of bark--very hardy to be sure!

As for a favorite, my first maple was 'Autumn Moon' and that will always hold a special place.
Bittersweet though as Verticillium wilt ravaged the plant a few years ago.
    Anyway, a Spring before that…

Just a quick picture of one of my Omureyamas from this morning , taken quite a few pics today will have to get them posted just been a bit busy though. This was heavy in seed last year due to the very hot summer the previous year so didn't look to clever during the fall , but was worked on over the winter so should look good this year, already trailing on the ground

After seeing your Omureyamas on your video I got a decent sized one. I love it. Colour not so special so far but the form is quite graceful. I can’t wait to serif in Autumn.
