    Hello all,
I have a pachira aquatica (money tree) with root rot going up to the trunk of all of the several braided sections. I heard it might be possible to cut all the rotted portions off and try to grow it in rooting hormone somehow to bring it back? Would any of you recommend this? If so, how? If not, is there any other way to maybe propagate it and keep it alive? I really don’t wanna give up on it yet :(
    Thank you all,
    Please help

ps this is my first post so hello hi I’m Sean a biological sciences major from uci, feel free to get technical if you need to I’ll follow

Here are some photos, most of the leaves that yellowed were already removed but it’s been rough :(
