Shot in community farm, Terra Nova, Richmond.
Commonly seen that nobody care to add a label.
I lump them all under Rosa nutkana - Nootka Rose.
Are they the same as those we saw along roadsides
when we drove to Alberta ?

Rosa rugosa, very different morphologically from R. nutkana. (And pretty distinctive within the genus in general). Although there are a few local sites where the two species have clearly crossed, to produce intermediates.

@David Tang, it gets its name from "rugose", meaning wrinkled or puckered, refers to all that texture in the leaves.
