Wonder if I can plant some sweet pea seeds in partial shade. I have always planted them in sun with lots of Nitrogen but want to change places this year
Hi Garden Diva, This is my first time to reply on the forum. In answer to your question, yes it has always been my understanding that that sweet peas will do well in the shade. My sister in law works in a plant greenery & I ask her that same question because I was planning on planting them myself but I moved & never got around to it yet. Maryanne
Yes, sweet peas can be grown in partial shade. An ideal position would be full sun with afternoon shade. They do not take the heat too well. They may not flower as well in more shady spots, however.
