Well, this is not really gardening but it's about the chairs I use IN my garden- does that count?LOL

Anyway, last year I bought 4 wicker armchairs from Ikea. I sprayed them with varnish but they are still "natural"- no paint. Anyway, i left them on my (covered) deck all winter under those plastic covers that are made for outdoor furniture. Anyway, today I uncovered them and they are covered in seafoam green mold and a bit of mildew. Any suggestions on taking that off? If I can't i can always paint them a solid colour.
    Thanks for any suggestions-
    Erica

Erica's Icky Ikea Wickies? Maybe just one of those household mold and mildew sprays is all you need.

A bleach solution... and then keep them dry and in the sun.

All wicker can be washed with a mild soap and water, and sprayed with the garden hose, and left to dry in the sun.

Best method I know is to use a solution of 1 part bleach to 4 parts water. You can use a toohbrush to get in small spaces. Wash with mild soap solution and water ,let dry in sun or dry area.
