One of the other wild pear species - most of them do have small fruit this size, though most of them are also decidedly inedible when uncooked (hard, rather gritty-textured, and very sour).

How big is the tree? Maybe it will produce larger fruit given time and proper care.

The fruit looks like a 20th Century Asian Pear. I have a tree of that type; and it will produce tiny fruit as in the photo, if the pears are not thinned sufficiently. I thinned my tree heavily this year, but it still has a mixture of pears of all sizes, including quite a few tiny ones.

Smmastiff, if your tree grew from seed, you're lucky that it is even edible. With seedlings, you can get almost anything, and it may not produce larger fruit even when thinned.
