    unfortuntely not,this maple is dead before sprout, full sun exposure and clay soil was not a good idea..snake bark in my zone only in partial shade have a future ,best snake bark maple in my zone is pectinatum Sirene now 5 meter high ,foliage expo full sun ,foot partial shade :)

    Ah too bad. I haven't seen 'Macrophyllum' elsewhere. Funny, 'Sirene' is difficult for me here, probably too wet! I'm on the second try with it, and it froze last spring and lost a big chunk of bark. Still alive, anyway!
