    Hi
Anybody got any info on this , I take it new variety, as it only came with the bog standard all purpose description etc on the label. Supposedly has green leaves with a bluish/purple tinge. Looks nice on the label picture but as usual you tend to figure the photo was taken in the most favourable light

    Cheers

Seems like all the information out there is in Dutch. I see it's listed as
'Mystic Jewel'® which tells me the name and variety has a trademark.

    Wintergreen Deciduous

The Acer palmatum 'Mystic Jewel' is a Japanese maple with mysteriously colored leaves that have a purple color and turn to green with a silver-gray glow.
In autumn the leaves turn to purple-red.
The slightly hanging leaf position is striking and beautiful.
It is a quiet the grower that can grow to about 150 cm.
Pruning is not necessary, but can be done in late summer or early autumn.
Endures sun but no bright afternoon sun.

This site has a picture of spring color but when you click on the photo from there it just downloads a PDF with generic info.
