For those looking for unusual cold hardy palms, many Lower Mainland Home Depot stores currently have 10" pot sizes of Butia Capitata (Jelly aka Pindo Palm), Chamaerops Humilis (Mexican Fan Palm) and Rhapidophyllum Hystrix (Needle Palm...this extremely hardy palm is generally considered the hardiest palm anywhere. It is a slow growing palm with the main plant producing a trunk and additional side shoots adding to the clump over time, but beware the needles).
The palms are selling for $45 per pot.

These are normally very hard to come by palms and could be your only chance to acquire one at a reasonable price.
