A client has requested an id for this tree located at Clark and E 12th area. It is approximately 30 feet tall. Much of the tree is also covered by ivy.

Michael, we think the yellow flowers are on the tree not the ivy - the images I find online have a different type of flower for Acer platanoides - more daisy like.

Go look at your flowers again, compare them to the Acer platanoides in this photo:

Yours don't look like daisies because you see them only from the side, or the face-on ones are not clear.

If you upload more photos, can you upload the jpg version, not a pdf? My browser makes me save pdf files before opening them, and we can't just see the pictures here in this thread. I linked to the photo I mentioned because it's not my photo.

Thank you for the reference. Unfortunately the photos are pdf because the client sent me prints and I scanned them in order to be able to put them on-line. Could you please suggest another way to get from printed photos to the forum? Thank you.

You can scan as jpg. Ha - I didn't even realize I could scan as pdf.
