Wildflowers: Flowering plant in the dunes

    Is it possible to identify the plant I photographed by accident, when photographing Coast Indian Paintbushes?
    Picture is taken on July 8th in the Marina Dunes, California.

    Thanks!

    According to that list, the plant on the photo below must be Castilleja latifolia with its host plant Artemisia pycnocephala. I thought the Castilleja to be the affinis subs. affinis (its on the coast :)) but that's not possible. Or can it also be growing there?

    Looks like it could also be a hybrid between the two species, apparently those are also known from the general area.
