    Jealous, that is gorgeous!!!! Do you have alot of Tridents? They are alot harder to find!

    Those can't be the same plants! Yours is really pretty Alex, the Buchholz plant looks as many young trident leaves do, with a reddish blush. At least in the photo I saw.

    I was just at Buchholtz in October and dont think i saw many tridents. I dont think he carries much inventory on them. Look forward to seeing some pictures as yours gets older.
    Will you put it in the ground or grow in a pot?

    in ground after two years in pot;the exp.is open sun ,no burned leaves ,i love buergerianum cultivar! for my zone is the best together acer discolor,crataegifolium and pseudoplatanus ...the pics up is may 2009 this pics is autumn 2011 :) today!

    in the Vertrees's book fourth edition is present a little descition of this maple (pag 362) J.D. write: this cultivar has a shimo furi (frost scattered)type of yellow variegation
