    Hi Everyone,

I need help in identifying a plant in my garden (I'm not much of a gardener so I use this term loosely).

I live in southern Ontario. It is a perennial that completely dies back in the fall. I transplanted him to his current spot about 3 years ago. He has stayed small (less than 1 foot tall with 2, maybe 3, branches) since then but this year he seems happier. He is currently about 1 1/2 feet tall with many branches and more on the way.

    Thanks.

I suppose it does look like a peony.

I'm not sure if it is because it was moved or if it just doesn't but it has not produced any type of flower, pod, etc.

    Does this change things?

Definitely a peony. These do not bloom if too small, too deep, in too much shade etc.
