A couple updated pics, I am curious to see how well it stands up to the heat and sun we can get here in summer. The leaves are quite fine currently; will they start filling out as they mature?

That is fairly typical except that I see much stronger purple red coloration than that. Of course, young trees rarely show their true colors.

I love this cultivar! Can't wait for it to start filling out.

Colors are definitely darker than last year, thus far anyway. Hopefully this trend continues!

Mine keeps a good color most of the summer in adequate light here, so you should see that continue.

Very vibrant, rich color this spring - and lots of flowers too! Here's hoping for some good seed collection come fall :)
