I don't know anything about plants. I was given this plant for my office. I don't what it is or how to help it. Everyone tells me its a sad plant. How can I fix it. I attached the pics. Thanks. Erik
Dracaena marginata, if it's to have any hope of survival it needs to be moved to a greenhouse or shady outdoor location. If frost is still possible it should stay indoors until warmer conditions arrive.
So I can't cut the top off and save its head in some water or replant the top? I feel bad that its going to die... Thanks for your feed back.
It looks far too weak to attempt those procedures. A truely determined person could build something along these lines to revive it. http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/gallery/data/500/VivariumFront11209.jpg
It might be fluoride toxicity - stop using tap water and use only water without fluoride. Here is more information on the condition: http://extension.psu.edu/pests/plant-diseases/all-fact-sheets/dracaena-diseases and here are brands of bottled water without fluoride: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/salud/salud_fluor35.htm
