Hi, I saw this potted tree at a local restaurant and was wondering what kind it was, I thought it would make a nice tree for my chameleon cage but I want to make sure what kind it is so I know if it's poisonous to chameleons. I have attached some leaves and the flowers. Thanks!

crazy! I should probably warn the owners of the restaurant, they probably don't know it's poisonous either! I wouldn't have known, thanks!

The danger is exaggerated. Foliage is intensely bitter and you would probably need to chew a good mouthful to suffer much harm. I have sometimes got the milky sap on my hands when pruning oleanders and neglected to wash afterwards, and I'm still here!

Do chameleons eat leaves? Seems very doubtful.

Most chameleons don't eat leaves, just insects and worms, but sometimes they can take a bite out of a leaf now and then, if the plant has sap it could be dangerous for their skin since they're climbing all over it.
