Here is a relatively unknown cultivar, Acer palmatum 'Itame nibluki'.

    Re: Acer palmatum 'Itame nibuki'

Here are a few photos of a tree of a first year tree I am growing. What you can't see from the photos is that this is a very vigorous selection, having put on about 8-12" of growth since I have had it and it has not stopped.

This tree is now known as Acer palmatum 'Itami nibluke'
---but has also been known as or is currently being called Itami nishiki, Itami nibluke, Itami shidare nibluke or any combination of the above with Itami spelled Itame.

I have this tree also, and I am very impressed with amount of growth it has put on this year.

This cultivar continues to impress me with its strong mottled coloring (especially the yellow/cream coloring) when it gets plenty of sun, and about a month after leafing out. It also seems to grow a foot a year as well. Is about 6' tall right now, and of a bit rangy. Must be close to leaves to appreciate it.
It's been healthy with little dieback.
