Wildflowers: Flower with 6 white petals and dark middle

    I found this plant in the meadow patch within a forest. It is small, as far as I remember no leaves. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

    Similar to Sisyrinchium rosulatum, which though is not listed for California.

    Yes, it does look very similar. Thanks. That meadow where it was growing has been destroyed since I took the picture, so you can say it's a historic photograph.

    What a pity! They might had destroyed some endemic with that meadow. I know some Utah species known from just a single location. Destroy one and the species is gone.
