    Re: Pinus parviflora 'Goldylocks'

I think this one is spelled 'Goldilocks', you might want to check - I don't know for sure.

Here is mine, that was sold from Buchholz nursery as Pinus parviflora 'Goldilocks'. I will make note of the other spelling. Here are photos of early Spring and a recent photo of it's candles.

It's been determined that Goldylocks is a synonym for 'Tenysu-kazu'. Someone (shouldn't have) introduced it under a new name... likely for monetary purposes. 'Tenysu-kazu' it is.

My 'Tenysu-kazu' that was marketed as “Goldilocks” at my nursery. Planted March 2021, photo taken December 2021.

How is it doing this year? I'd like to buy one for my garden but I'm wondering about its heat tolerance? I live in Oregon Zone 8b and my garden is west facing with hot afternoon sun for about 7-8 hours.

Mine is planted on the SW side of my yard. We had 108° F weather this summer as well as regular 100°+ days and it didn’t skip a beat.
