    Japanese Snowbell? are there any clusters of immature flower buds on it?

    Foliage has some of the appearance of tree lilac (Syringa reticulata or maybe S. pekinensis).

    I don't see any flower buds. It should be much easier to identify if it begins to blossom.

    Opposite branching fits Lilac, but not Snowbell
