This photo shows the spring color of Beni fushigi. A small tree to 6-7 feet.

The colors are outstanding, as bright as Chisio improved or Shin deshojo with smaller leaves. New twigs are same color as leaves. Leafs out early.

It is always fun to have something a little different, this is a 16' tall Beni Fushigi.

amazingmaples, what an amazing specimen, can you tell me the history of your 16' tall specimen. Was it grafted on a high standard?

I have grown it in ground for over 5 years and it has only grown a foot or so. (4.5 feet)

The tree is a higher grafted tree at about 4'. I bought the tree a few years ago and it was already this tall. I am not sure how old it is but someplace around 30 years old. It has close to a 8" caliper which is quite large for a dwarf.
