Unfortunately I don't have more info and the text is also irrelevant, because it is about Cornus mas...I think the illustration was stolen from the WWW... as a "Cornus mas picture", but this plant is surely not a Cornus mas, so I want to find out what is it! :)

The image search produced two sites with this picture:
    http://www.origo.hu/tafelspicc/alapanyag/20121009-az-elfelejtett-oshonos-gyumolcs-a-som.html
    http://hedifarkas.blogspot.com/2012/10/som-az-elfelejtett-oshonos-gyumolcs.html

The first is one given by Lila; the second contains an additional picture of Cornus canadensis taken from
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/peupleloup/2840283145/

Pff, the second link is a "copy-paste variant" of the first article, the same text and the same "Cornus mas" pic as illustration + completed with another great "Cornus mas" illustration... arrrgggh... stupidity is spreading like a virus over the net... :)
